Herbs for Every Season of Life
Join us for this years winter workshop series. ‘ Herbs for Every Season of Life’, we will explore herbs for children, pregnancy, menopause, aging and grief.
Each workshop will take place online via Zoom at 7pm.
This workshops are free for HANB members. For non-members the cost is $25 & you will receive a free membership for the year.
January 21st– Herbs for Children
Tatum Andrews will teach a practical workshop exploring safe and effective herbs commonly used to support children’s everyday ailments. Learn simple, age-appropriate remedies and how to confidently use plants to care for little ones naturally.
February 18th– Using Herbs During Pregnancy & Postpartum
Join Munna Cleland of Radicle Root Herbs for an exploration of using herbs while pregnant, in labour, and in postpartum. We will discuss safety, contraindications, internal & external use, nourishing uses, and medicinal uses.
February 25th– Death & Grieving: The End Is the Beginning
Grief is not only an ending it is a threshold. In Death & Grieving: The End Is the Beginning, Cheyenne Kean-Lemery explores grief through herbalism, story, and gentle ritual, drawing on folklore, burial practices, and plant allies for transition. This reflective, experiential offering is for anyone navigating loss, change, or becoming.
March 18th– Becoming a Wise Woman: Herbs to Ease the Menopausal Change
The menopausal change is a deeply transformational process in body, mind and spirit. Herbal medicine has supported women through ‘The Change’ for thousands of years. In this workshop, Maria Recchia, will explore the multifaceted process of menopause and discuss herbal and lifestyle supports to ease symptoms and fully become the wise women of your generation. This workshop is for everyone with female anatomy: the young wondering what to expect, those in perimenopause or post-menopause and anyone in a relationship with someone experiencing this profound process of change.
April 15th– Aging Gracefully ~ Embracing the Sage Years with Herbal Allies
Our golden years invite us to root deeply into our wisdom and care for the body that carries it. In this workshop, Carissa Cromwell, will explore plant allies that help us sustain vitality, support resilience, and nurture adaptability through life’s changing rhythms. We’ll discuss herbs that promote mental clarity, enhance immune function, and offer gentle nourishment to the heart.
